Jalia in Anarchy Online! 6-17-00
Okay, I decided to create someone bigger, taller, and more physical. I went with a "solitus" which is a fairly standard human breed I guess, and I made her a citizen/employee of Omnitek.
I almost made her a fat blonde but I really didn't know about running around with massive breasts and thighs, it looked really odd. So at the last minute I chickened out and I went back and made her tall but with standard mass, and decided to give her a black girl head with a goofy hairdoo. Sort of a Grace Jones look, which I've decided I like.
I must say, they give you a ton of heads to choose from, many with goofy hairstyles. For a solitus you get Caucasian, African-American, Aisian, all kinds of heads. However hair colors are fairly normal for girls -- I noticed that some of the guy heads had blue hair, for example.
So this is my martial artist, Gaynell "Jaqui" Mannos. I'm getting better at the nickname thing. She's tall and nasty looking isn't she? Here she's hanging out at her apartment, which I have no idea what good having an apartment is but she has a key to it and everything. It's unfurnished, lol.
My martial artist doesn't have any ranged attacks, although I've read that bows are good for MA's. I don't get any fancy spinning kicks like in EQ that I know of (yet anyway), but I can sure punch! I've got some nanotech tricks and a few cool attacks so far.
After a hard battle, doesn't everyone want to celebrate with a little ballet? They have some odd but fun social scripts that you can run, including /ballet, /disco, /ymca, and a few other fancy dance moves. You can tell fish stories, you can moon someone, you can gesture with your hands as you talk... much more creative than the ones in EQ to be honest.
Newbie beasts include weird groundhog things called "leets" and flying birds called "reets of paradise". I didn't think to much about it at first, just sounded like stupid sci fi names. The birds made a sound like a parrot saying "pretty boy" (btw, the sound in the game is very good, better than EQ which has never got sound to work right no matter what soundcard I've had).
Anyway, I soon figured out the joke behind the leets and reets. When attacked, they occasionally shout things like "I ownz joo!", "phat lewtz!" "peekay!" "Plz Help!" and "My friends will kill u!" LOL. I don't know if this joke will ever get old for me. I like it. ^_^
You have to admit, this is one of my best shots. ^_^
Well I like my martial artist a lot more than my nanomage, but I decided to try a couple more combinations out.
