| Biography
Jessica Alba is a gifted young actress who not only has incredible
beauty, but is also incredibly talented. She was born in Pomona,
California on April 28, 1981 and is of Spanish/Mexican-American and
French/Danish decent. Jessica found a love for acting when she was five
but it wasn't until she was twelve that she took her first acting lesson.
Nine months later, she was signed by an agent.
Jessica made her film debut in 1993's "Camp Nowhere." She was
originally hired for a spot that would last all of two weeks, but when the
lead role dropped out, Jessica got her big break. The two week job
stretched to two months and she began her career with an impressive first
credit.
National commercials for Nintendo and J.C. Penny quickly followed as
did several independent films. Soon, television called and in 1994, she
had a recurring role in Nickelodeon's popular "The Hidden World of
Alex Mac."
That same year, she won the role of Maya in the new "Flipper"
series. Being an avid swimmer and PADI-certified scuba diver, she was
delighted to be doing a show which allowed her to swim with dolphins.
Since then, Jessica has added a few more film credits to
her list. She was in both "Idle Hands" and "Never
Been Kissed", although she was shadowed by Drew Barrymore in that
movie.
Year 2000 marked a banner year for Jessica when she landed the title
role in Fox's "Dark Angel." The hit show is produced by
James Cameron and stars Jessica as an ass-kicking, bio-engineered super
woman with style. The hour long show was an immediate success with
audiences and continues to have a strong following. The success of
the show has brought Jessica into the mainstream.
