| June 15, 2003 Today is Father's Day! I woke Charles up with a kiss and handed him my gift. Well, to be honest, I really didn't get him anything else but a card. I just couldn;t think of anything else to get him. I was going to start a scrapbook for him, but there wasn't enough time. I took him out to brunch at one of our favorite local eatery "Paty's." It was packed! Maybe because being it's Father's Day and all.. This was my treat for him. We then headed back home right after and decided to jump in the pool. It felt nice. It was refreshing. But soon after I took a shower, I felt sick to my stomach and felt really really tired. I dunno why - but for some reason I just felt very lethargic. So I then decided to take a nap while Charles went on doing laundry and all. My poor honey, he had to do laundry and all. He is such a trooper! I woke up not too long ago, and still feeling very tired. My throat is a little scratchy and I think I'm starting something. I hope not. It's a beautiful day! I certainly won't want to waste it. We plan on going to Phil and Susy's B-b-q party at around 5 today. That should be fun. :) We were at a friend's birthday bash yesterday and had a great time. |
| June 16, 2003 Another day and the countdown continues... 2more months and the baby is here! Yesterday was a nice day! It's Charles first "Father's Day" and I think it went well.. considering. We spent the afternoon with the Shearer's -b-b-quing and we really had a great time! We stayed for a few hours and chatted about stuff and all. The baby is moving more and more. As a matter of fact, it's keeping me up late at night and I feel tired most of the day. I think this baby is going to be a "night owl"... Well-- time to say goodbye to a full night sleep! I keep warning Charles to get ready for an "allnighter". Well- hopefully it won't be the case... but just getting ready... just in case... Still waiting for the answer on an apartment that we're trying to get... Cannot wait. I really want to start fisin up the baby's room and all.. There's just too much to do and so little time,, I am really getting anxious now.. Charles is at workl still.. and will be home anytime now... Gotta go.. I'll catch ya'll later! |
| June 17, 2003 Hi All, How's everyone feeling? It sure is summer time! Can u feel the heat? I can! Gosh, I don't know if I can last 2 more months of this. I hope i can. I was up late last night again.. I just can't find the most comfortable position. It must have taken me at least a couple hours before I finally fell asleep. Charles was snoring up in my ear - he was pooped out from the gig he did yesterday.. and I felt bad for him..having to get up at 5AM this morning for another one... I have been busy with organizing my scrapbook tools and supplies.. Oh yeah- that's my new hobby now. I am in the process of figuring out how to scan my 12x12 pages on this tiny scanner i have.. As soon as I have it figured out..I will add that here on the site so you could see some of my work... In the meantime,, Everyone just stay COOL cuz I know I Am!! Not much to report.. except -did I already say.. I AM BIGGER now!! (lol) |

| June 28, 2003 Hi Everyone! Today was my babyshower. Charlie's mom and sister threw a great party! A few of our closest friends and family showed up for a nice get together at the "Dalrymple's." Charles mom outdid herself again. We got a lot of cute and very useful stuff for the baby and we cannot thank everyone enough for their graciousness. |
| July 9, 2003 How was everyone's 4th?? Ours was pretty hectic so to speak.. We just got done moving in to our new place and i am dead tired!! Things are pretty much in place.. just a couple of boxes yet to be unpacked... no big deal.. It was a hottttt and tiresome weekend - that's for sure!!!! I am sooo thankful to our friends and family who made it possible for us to do this task... THANKS everyone!! Our 4th was pretty mellow.. We did a bit of grillin and the Kids had a good time... We were able to view the fireworks from our front yard.. It was neat!! I luv our new place.. it's really pretty cozy.. LUV my kitchen! Much much bigger than what we had before.. I was teasin Charles the other day saying.. "oh no' we won't bump into each other anymore" ... i think i'll miss that the most.. (bumping into each other- get it? ) lol... It was nice waking up to birds chirping instead of noise of cars and trucks and sirens.. (that's how it was at the other place... I have started to prepare the room for the baby's arrival.. We just got our "bassinet" today and Charles will have to assemble it tomorrow.. I have also started to prepare the things that we'll need when "the" TIME comes... soooo- the countdown continues... | July 19, 2003 It's another baby shower! Yep! I don't think it will ever end. (lol)... My Mom and sister hosted another baby shower for me and Charles. They held it at my mother's church with all of her church friends there. It was really very nice and sweet of all of them to have done that. We received more cute and adorable stuff! We cannot thank everyone enough for their sweet thoughts and for helping us prepare for the coming of our "angel." The party didn't start til about 7PM.. and it lasted til about 10PM. Charles was able to play drums with the church band and he really liked that a lot :) He hasn't played for almost 5 years but he was great - I think!. It was a really lovely evening.. We could have not ask for anything more.. I have posted the pics on Yahoo Photos.. so do check it out when u get a chance :) |
