So, these guys started appearing earlier this month, and now they're about ready to bloom. I guess it's just a nice little reminder Spring is a month away.

Here is some bread I made, next to the breadmaker. As you can see, I have already had a couple slices, and have wrapped it in plastic to preserve freshness.

There was a volcanic event at the Ambig. Dis. Brewery.
The IPA, in front, had blown half the airlock off sometime during the night, I got up this moring and found the pieces lying halfway across the room. I detatched the bottom protion to clean it out and re-assemble and re-attatch it, but then foam erupted up through the hole in the stopper in the top of the carboy. I decided it would probably be wise to wait for the violent de-gassing to subside, which took about ten minutes. As you can see from this photo taken shortly after re-atching the airlock, it quickly filled back up with foam. In the meantime, the Scotch Ale, in the back, with the blow-off tube, had overflowed the container (hidden behind the water tub, its a little quart-sized container half-filled with water to create an airlock) and spilled foam all over the floor.
I guess I need another blow-off tube.
