I am currently working as an Admission Counselor at Southern New Hampshire's College of Online and Continuing Education. I assist students through all phases of the application and enrollment process, from an initial phone interview, to credit evaluation, and the transition to the Advising department at the time of registration. After three years' experience in this role, I have found that I have improved my attention to detail and problem solving skills. I hope to translate these characteristics into an ability to identify key business and user needs.
Much of my professional experience has been in management. In Portland, OR I worked for three years as a Canvass Collective Director for the Gifford Pinchot Task Force. In this role I worked collaboratively with other directors to recruit, hire, train, and development of our staff of 15 door to door canvassers.
In Holyoke, MA I was a RadioShack Store Manager for three years where I oversaw all store operations including staff development, customer service, profit and loss management, and loss prevention. In this capacity I managed a team of 8-15 employees and we quickly became an award winning store.
I believe that my experience with collaboration and independent work will allow me to work successfully on a team of developers, while being able to take initiative and problem solve individually.
