Haven City. A city run on lies, living in fear. Baron Praxis controls the lives of the people through walls, fear, and regular Metal Head attacks to ensure his continued rule.
But innocent people disappear. Mutated eco experiments return in their place. Nameless elf-kin in the slums turn up dead. The city is far from being as safe as Praxis claims it to be...
One of the many tormented by Baron Praxis' cruel experimentation and injection of dark eco was a young elf-kin named Jak, put through two years of torture and now the holder of a power he cannot control... a dark, twisted, sinister power that hates and loathes and longs for blood. Rescued by his ottsel friend Daxter, he seeks revenge for his tormented self, and looks to find the friends he lost coming to Haven City two years ago.
He joins an underground resistance, led by the elf-kin Torn, supported by the mysterious Krew, formed by the elusive "Shadow". They, along with many others, are out to stop Baron Praxis and put the true ruler back on the throne.
