Posture

Normally any and every cartoon explicitly shows
such natural and good postures many times over in the
films. In the Dance-Sport one needs to maintain such
postures through out the entire dance. |
This comes naturally when one is happy and exited, or when
having the feeling of being at the top of the world. When
observing one's self in the trial room prior to buying a dress
these postures are assumed naturally. Normally any and every
cartoon explicitly shows such natural and good postures many
times over in the films.
In the Dance-Sport one needs to maintain such postures through
out the entire dance.
Exercise
Stand backing a wall, with feet together. Now touch the heels to
the wall. Next is to press one's self flat against the wall. The
buttocks and the back of the shoulders (shoulder blades) would be
in contact with the wall in addition to the calves of the legs
and the head. Next is to pull in the stomach and pull the
shoulders further back and to the side. Get a feel of this
position. Now keeping this position, relaxing the knees and the
ankle move away from the wall, without moving the feet. This will
need the knees and ankles to be relaxed and bend slightly, and as
a result the heel is slightly lifted off the floor. The body
weight shifts to the balls of the feet.
The last part is to relax a little so as to make one's self as
comfortable as possible with the bare minimum changes to the
posture attained.
