HSING YI: SAN TI STANCE

Three Vertical lines

  1. From the heel of the forward leg to the front of the forward leg;
    if you drop a straight line from the kneecap, it shuld be in line with the heel.
  2. From the hip, to the back of the heel.
  3. From the Forward index finger (pointing up), to the toes of the fron foot.
The knees should have the feeling as though they are closing inward, and the heels should feel as if they are pushing outward. The toes should feel as though they are grasping the earth.

The shoulders are relaxed, and the elbows sink down. The forward index finger is held at mouth level. The knuckle of the thumb, on the lower hand, is just below the navel. The thumb on the forward hand is flat (pointing out stright to one side). The front hand is hollow, and the hand has the intention of grabbing. The froont hand pushes forward, and the back hand draws back.

The back foot is at 45 degrees. The heel of the front foot is in line with the ankle bone of the back foot. The tounge is on the palate, and the spine is straight. Breath through the nose, and place the intention on the dan tien. The body is in a realxed position. Feel the strength of the whole body.
