When the circulatory system is tense, the veins and arteries constrict, creating pressure on the blood stream. Lack of exercise can also affect the elacticity of the veins and arteries, slowing and limmiting their expansion. A bad diet can cause a higer blood pressure, with such foods as: fatty meats, spices, slat, tobacco and white sugar.
Exercise can lower blood pressure, such as Tai Chi, Chi Kung, and moderately strenuous exercise over 40 minutes. This exercise over 40 minutes also burns up cholesterol in the blood system, allowing a greater throughput.
One may also calm oneself temporarily, by the use of meditaion, regulating the breath, and the mudra of holdig the tip of the middle finger to the tip of the thumb.
A diet that will help high blood pressure includes: fresh fruits, especially fresh peaches, rolled oats, bell peppers, alfalfa, carrots, celery, parsley, bambo shoots, zucchini, squash and spinach. All of these foods help to lower blood pressure and fority the blood.
When the blood pressure is high, the blood may break through the tiny capillaries in the nasal cavity, causing nose bleeds. This is one of the body's safetey mechanismss to prevent internal bleeding and heart attacks. To sto a nosebleed, hold the arm on the side of the bleeding high in the air for a few moments to decrease the tension and stop the bleeding. Gently pull on the middle finger on the left or right hand until the knuckle pops. This will lower the blood pressure.

Taking 3-4 alfalfa tablets per day, will control high and low blood pressure and build resistance to disease. Alfalfa will also help to strengthen the blood cells and arteries.

Taking 1-3 garlic pearls per day, and daily vitamin E, will lower blood pressure. Many have gone from decreasing high blood pressure medicine, to eliminating it entirely!
Hydrogen sulfide is produced from garlic compounds interacting with red blood cells. This interaction leads to relaxation of blood vessels. Garlic compounds prevent platelet aggregation, which can trigger a heart attack or stroke, and in limiting cancer growth and the progression of several diseases.

Raspberry leaf tea helps to relieve high blood pressure, use 1 ounce per pint of boiling water, and simmer for 20 minutes. Drink cold, 1 cup per day.

Cucumber juice or raw, fresh, cucumbers help to lower blood pressure. Eat 1 cucumber daily or drink 1/2 cup of the juice

Stinging nettles, 1 teaspoon per 1 cup of boiling water, 4-5 cups per day

Cayenne pepper, taken in tea, helps to improve circulationi and reduce high blod pressure. USe 1/12 fo 1 grain, in 1 cup boiling water, and drink 1 cup per day.
Capsules may also b e taken, but make sure not to exceed recommended dose.

Potassium�Eating foods rich in potassium seems to prevent high blood pressure. Good sources of potassium are many fruits and vegetables, some dairy foods, and fish.

Get 1,000-1,500 milligrams of calcium each day. Good sources are dairy foods, such as milk, yogurt, and cheese�but be sure to choose low or nonfat types. They have as much or more calcium but with less fat and fewer calories. If milk causes you digestive discomfort, try yogurt or some lactose-free dairy products.

Magnesium�Scientists say a diet pattern low in magnesium may cause blood pressure to rise. But they are not sure whether the increase is from the lack of magnesium or some unknown factor.
