ASTHMA

ASTHMA PREVENTION

Red clover tea, helps build up body resistance to allergies. Use 1 teaspoon per cup of boiling water, steep for 5-10 minutes; Drink 3-4 cups /day before coming in contact with the allergy or hayfever causes. If an attack occurs, double intake of tea, and take large amounts of vitamin C.

Sugars, alcohol and all sugar products deplete the body of nutrients. Milk and milk products clog the system. Canned foods should be replaced with fresh fruits and vegetables, especially the fruits with pits in them. Best are; apricots, peaches and cherries.

ASTHMA TREATMENT

Blue violet leaf tea, will help to dry out the moisture in the lungs, which activates asthma attacks. Use 1 teaspoon of leaves to 1 cup of boiling water, and drink 2 cups daily. This can be continued for several months.

Vitamin E promotes healing of the lungs, and helps rebuild cells. Asthmatics should eat foods which are high in vitamin E, and take vitamin supplements. Start with a low dosage, and over a period of several weeks, increase up to 1,200 i.u. daily.

Use 1 teaspoon of pennyroyal leaves & flowers per 1 cup boiling water. Sweeten with honey, and take 1 teaspoon twice a day.

Speedwell helps to eliminate obstructions in all parts of the body, including the lungs. Use 2 ounces per 1 pint boiling water, and take 1/2 ounce daily.

To treat bronchial asthma, mix onions, honey and skunk cabbage or garlic. Steep in enough water to make a tea, and drink a cup per day.

For flu and bronchial ailments, use 1 teaspoon blue violet leaves to 1 cup boiling water. Steep 2-3 minutes, and sip slowly. Drink 2-3 cups per day.

Vitamin A, is helpful in treating all bronchial problems. Eat fresh parsley, watercress and alfalfa.

Mayflower is a decongestant to control mucous in the nasal cavities. Use 1 teaspoon per cup of boiling water and drink 1/2 cup 3 times per day.

Dry nettle leaves help to purify the blood and dissolve mucous in the lungs. It is also good for disolving undigested food in the stomach. Use 1 teaspoon leaves per 1 cup of boiling water, and drink 1/2 cup 3 times a day.
