Niijima Akihisa Niijima Akihisa Kouken Sokuuchi
recently Hiten Mitsurugi Got technique from the Battousai by kidnapping and threatening Kaoru. Despite this is very protective of Kaoru and wants her to love him. The Battousai's was just one technique that he is after. It fit's in with his grand plan for revenge and a bit of world domination.

Segawa Shinichi the 23rd Kouken Sokuuchi Is out to stop his former student Oh boy! Did you muck up in teaching that kid!

Ryusaki Masujiro Segawa Kouken Sokuuchi Is accompanying his master to stop Niijima Akihisa and is the heir to the Kouken Sokuuchi school Is not really sure that killing Niijima is the way to go but is slowly being convinced of that. The future Segawa Shinichi (the 24th)

Yasutake Ryuichi Tamashii Hitokken A potential prime and the master of the Tamashii school This person hasn't actually appeared

Murakami Seir Yasutake Tamashii Hitokken A Prime. Got abducted by Niijima so that he could take the technique. However Seir resisted Niijima's attempts. He is on his way to Tokyo to warn people of the menace of Niijima and to share his theory on why his technique wasn't taken from him.

Bairei Niijima Akihisa Kouken Sokuuchi One of Niijima's most trusted servants. Knows more about his plans than the others and is insanely loyal Not a master of Kouken

Hasekura Inoue Niijima Akihisa Formerly of the Oniwa Banshuu, has betrayed them but they don't know yet. Believes Niijima will succeed and help her leave her current life. Gave Niijima the Hitokiri Battousai's sword as a greeting gift. Is trapped now in her position of servidute. Also has romantic inclinations towards Niijima which are not returned

Katsunan Niijima Akihisa They haven't done much. He is the main organiser behind Niijima's organisation, so while he hasn't done much directly, he has had a hand in the general running of Niijima's desires.

Yasunari Niijima Akihisa This was the person who found the Second Companion and brought her to Niijima. He is also the personn who lead the Kyoto Dayside Dragons against Hiko, Segawa, Ryusaki, Shinomori and Makamichi with such dissmal results. He is dead. He died when Segawa tried probing him to learn more of Niijima's plans but accidently set off a trap that had been left there.

Tsuya Niijima Akihisa She is the operative who found Murakami and arranged for him to be taken to Niijima. She has stayed around to provide the Second Companion and now Kaoru with a female guard.

Sedra Niijima Akihisa This is the person Niijima left in charge of his base while he was in Tokyo confronting the Battousai

Morihiro Niijima Akihisa The person Niijima left in charge of Tokyo now that he has left.

Juro Niijima Akihisa and Kamiya Field slave who has fallen for Kaoru after he saw her arrive at Niijima's base.

Ibi Hiroji Black Cobra's Yakuza boss. The Black Cobra's were hired by Niijima to punish another Yakuza group, the Shadow Daggers because they had unwittingly stolen from Niijima While they did perform their job they and the survivors of the Shadow Daggers were taken care of by Saitou Hajime's police section.

Dayside Dragon's Dayside Dragons and Niijima Akihisa These Yakuza were retained by Niijima because they were willing to fight the Battousai and they could provide information on the aftermath of Shishio.
They attacked the group that left Kyoto. This group is now mostly dissolved since they took on the Oniwa Banshuu's leaders and lost. It was a hard blow to their pride and those who survived were picked up by the Police. ^_^

Tanto Phoenix's Tanto Phoenix and Niijima Akihisa This is the Yakuza group that actually kidnapped Kamiya and beat up Yahiko. They were later beaten by the Battousai and those members were taken into Police Custody

Black Cobra's Black Cobra's Yakuza group retained to destroy a rival group because the rivals stole from Niijima. They were later beaten by Saitou's branch of the Police

Shadow Dagger's Shadow Dagger's Yakuza group that stole some weapons from Niijima They were attacked by the Black Cobra's. Any survivors were taken by Saitou's branch of the Police.

Atsumichi and other Tanto Phoenix's These two were going to show an unconscious Kamiya 'her place' but they were stopped by Hasekura who outright killed one while Bairei took care of the other. Their bodies were later retrieved by the Police and with a note from Niijima presented to Kenshin.

Shiba Tanto Phoenix's One of the Tanto Phoenix's who was allowed into Tokyo after they went into hiding

Oniji Tanto Phoenix's The person who escaped from Kenshin as he was making his attack on the Tanto Phoenix's. He later provided Saitou with a physical description of Niijima After giving Saitou the description of Niijima he made the mistake of attacking Mibu's Wolf and ended up very quickly dead.

Sadao Street lighter. This is the person who was lighting the street lamps as the Police and Kenshin gathered to attack the Tanto Phoenix's. He made outside observations on the state of people after several days deprived of Kaoru's presence.

Takeru Oniwa Banshuu Tokyo based Oniwa Banshuu. This is the person who talks to Fujita Goro (Saitou) on behalf of the Oniwa Banshuu. He was present for the assault on the Tanto Phoenix's He is a good fighter and loyal to the Oniwa Banshuu. He was very surprised at the killing force Kenshin had at the time.

Second Companion Himura Kamiya Kasshin This woman looks exactly like Kaoru.

Kanbe Police The Police constable who fetched Kenshin and Sanosuke to view the bodies of the Tanto Phoenix's

Hideo Police The Police officer who found the note on the Atsumichi's body and told the Police chief.

Gaho Niijima Akihisa The person who had the task of telling Niijima that Murakami had escaped. Upon delivering his information to Niijima, he was killed as punishment for letting Murakami escape.

Kita Niijima Akihisa Servant assigned to Kaoru while she is in Niijima's base. She basically makes sure Kaoru doesn't wander off and sees to it that she is feed and dressed. A general hand servant

Kumi Has some relation to Segawa but is dead

Chiaki Yen Shop keeper who observes Kenshin and Kaoru shopping after the meeting with Niijima. She sold Kenshin the gifts he gives to Kaoru.

Takana Yen Tofu seller who Chiaki likes to gossip with. Has definite ideas on an unmarried woman living with an equally unmarried man.

Tani Juusanrou Tani Juusanrou This is the Ishin person that Niijima asks with some success for the location of the Hitokiri Battousai Tani is the person Jin'eh was sent to assassinate. (Udo-kun, why didn't you succeed?)

Whoa! This is way longer than I thought it would be. But it's now done. I didn't realise I'd given so many people names but I did. Oh well... I said it before but I will say it again, many of these people are not important. Or they have played their part.
