It will take a while to get going and while I know I blathered over the details of Shishio and Enishi, it helps to set the scene. This fic has a couple of characters which I made up. Also I completely, well, pretty much ignore the end of Rurouni Kenshin, the bits that come after the Jinchuu Arc. They just don't fit with this fic... As a default, this fic has spoilers in it for Kyoto and Revenge Arcs, especially the beginning chapters. That's a good enough warning.

Hmmm... This fic is about someone who comes after Kenshin, or rather, they want the Hitokiri Battousai but they don't want him dead and they don't want the honor of saying that they killed the legendary Hitokiri. Instead, they want something else, and Kenshin is not their only target....

Advice for reading this fic. ^_^ Looking back the opening chapters especially focus too much on my own characters. (They are easy to write.) So my advice would be to read Chapter 1 and then skip to Chapter 5. That way you get introduced to the main bad guy before his plot is launched. After you have read some more you should then go back and read Chapters 2 - 4 so that you can work out the bad guys entire plot and learn about some of the things he was doing while the others were going through the events portrayed in Rurouni Kenshin.
