In Memory Of Dr. Alfred Giordano
May 12,1965 - Dec.2,2003

It is with deep sorrow that we share this news with you.
We have been given the news that Jackie's pediatrician,
Dr. Giordano, has passed away on Dec. 2, 2002.

He was an exceptional doctor- one that everyone hopes for.
He has shown nothing but support, care and concern for Jackie
and was very dedicated. He was always wonderful with our children
and we wish he were able to see them as they grow through the years.
We especially wish that he could've been around in the future, when
Jackie will have overcome her liver issues. He worked so hard and
was always "on top" of her condition.

We couldn't have asked for a better pediatrician. Thank you,Dr. Al, for all you did for us! We will miss you!!

The news or Dr. Al's passing took us all by surprise. I looked
for a way to express my feelings. The poem below only scratches
the surface of what we thought of him.

The Truest Hero

When Jackie got sick we felt we hit a wall,
But then Dr. Al gave her his all.
And even though he had much to do,
There wasn't a thing he was unwilling to do.

Who is this person of which I speak?
Only the truest hero, I think.

There'll never be enough words to define,
The care he showed the baby of mine.
He eased all our fears each time we met,
He surely is someone we won't soon forget.

Through the support he always shared,
We knew he was someone who really cared.
"Where's her chart?" would ask a nurse gripping her pen,
"Oh,that's right, Dr. Al's got it again."

And during one time Jackie gave us a scare,
Dr. Al came to the hospital to visit us there.
All the hours he worked surely caused him some strife,
But they were the ones that helped save her life.

It seemed there was nothing he wouldn't do for her,
And that made things so much easier for her.
Finding Dr. Al was a treasure we won,
And this Dr. was an exceptional one.

For that we will miss him and his cheerey hello,
And the comforting smile he never failed to show.
And despite the amount our Jackie would fuss,
He always did everything he could for us.

So, who is this person of which I speak?
Only the truest hero, I think.
