FLAMINGO

1 1/2 oz. Anejo Rum

1 1/2 oz. Pineapple Juice

1/4 oz. Fresh Lime Juice

2 Dashes Grenadine

 

Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into small cocktail glass.

 

FLAME OF LOVE MARTINI

1/4 oz. fino sherry

2 oz. vodka

Several peels of orange

  

Coat the inside of a chilled martini glass with fino sherry and toss out the excess. Flame several orange peels into the glass. Chill both ingredients in a mixing glass and strain into seasoned glass. Garnish with an orange peel.

 

FLAMING: You can create a festive pyrotechnical display for your guests with the oil present in the skin of lemons and oranges. To flame the oil, hold a lit match in one hand, and the twist in the other. Hold the twist by the side not the ends, between thumb and forefinger, skin side down, about four inches above the drink. Don't squeeze or you'll lose all the oil before you flame. Hold the match between the drink and the twist, closer to the twist. Snap the twist sharply, propelling the oil through the lit match and onto the surface of the drink. (Be sure to hold twist far enough from the drink to avoid getting a smoky film on the glass.)

 

FLORADORA

1 1/2 oz. Gin

1/2 oz fresh Lime juice

1/2 oz Framboise Liqueur or Raspberry syrup

Ginger Ale

 

Build all ingredients in a highball glass filled with ice. Top with Ginger Ale. Garnish with a lime wedge.

 

FRAPPE

Any cocktail or liqueur served over shaved ice. Created at Harryˇ¦s Bar in Paris around World War I and named after a French 75mm artillery piece. In the 19th century, Frappes were considered ˇ§Ladyˇ¦s drinksˇ¨.

 

FRENCH 75

This recipe originally called for gin, but it has become more popular with brandy.

1 oz. Brandy

3/4 oz. Simple Syrup

1/2 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice

Champagne.

 

Shake with ice the Brandy, lemon juice and sugar. Strain into a large cocktail glass and top with Champagne. Note: Can also be served over ice in a white wine glass.

 

FRENCH MARTINI

2 oz. Premium Vodka

1/2 oz. Chambord

11/2 oz. Pineapple Juice

 

Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. No garnish.

 

FUZZY NAVAL

11/4 oz. Hiram Walker peach Schnapps

Fresh squeezed orange juice

 

Pour over ice into a rocks glass, fill with orange juice and stir well
