Profile: Mike Carrol

Mike is from Roamnian descent and has been familiar to the skateboarding world for quite a while now. In his early years of skating he became a child prodigy on H-Street, went pro at 14, and then went to help launch Plan B. In Plan B's first video Questionnable, his part was amazing and his name was often identified with San Francisco's Embarcadero, the forefront for skating in his time. Later in '93 he and Rick Howard left Plan B to start their own company, Girl Skateboards. His shoe sponsors were similar, when he rode for Vans he had a hideous shoe, so he crossed over to add talent to the DC team. In 1999 he teamed up again with Rick Howard to start their own shoe company Lakai. He has had many injuries keeping him from his skating, but now he has made a big comeback, in "The Chacolate Tour" video, and especiallyin the recent Transworld video "Modus Operandi" where his super tech part made him one of the favorite skaters in Girl team, once again. I think that Mike Carrol is my favorite skater because of his combination of style, techness, and skill on large obstacles and rails.
