It has come to the attention of many members in TROT that there are few opportunities for people to show off their rarer breeds of horses. In order to assist members in getting their uncommon breeds recognized, without being overshadowed by the hundreds of Thoroughbreds, Arabians, and Quarter Horses. Granted, rare breeds are just as talented, and sometimes, even more so than the common breeds, judges often overlook them in competitions. The purpose of this association is not only to give people the chance to show off their rarer and uncommon breeds, but also to let other people realize the beauty, elegance, and talent that these horses have.

TROT Rare Breeds Association - Rules

1.) No horses may be registered that are in the "Common Breeds" list without special consideration administered by myself. (See Rule 2 for information on special considerations.)

2.) Special considerations for common breeds include uncommon or rare colors in common breeds.

• albino (any common breed)

• brindle (any common breed)

• palomino, paint, or appaloosa Thoroughbreds

3.) Crosses will be included in the Rare Breeds Association, however, only rare cross-breeds will be included. Common crosses will be included in the "Common Breeds" list and the same rules apply.
