Black Feather
Hi Jacky

Just wanted toask if you knew the meaning of finding a black feather. I
have read that they mean misfortune, bad luck, transformation and death. I
found one in my draw in my bedroom no one had put it there. I was just
wondering if you could put my mind at rest please.

Thank you and good luck with spiritual connextions awards. xx

Jacqui

HI Jacqui
No! That sounds scary! I do believe black feathers have different meanings to the white ones. Your angels are with you right now as you go through difficulties (where as white usually just means that the angels are by your side). The black acknowledges that you are struggling and they are helping you.

Imagine if a black feather meant death? Goodness we would all have a heart attack every time the cat caught a black bird on the lawn next door!

Wise Old Owl
Hi jacky, last year, my husband and I stumbled accross a book shop in Stellenbosch.I never new I was interested in angel books, but yours seem to stand out like a jewel. On our way back to Johannesberg I read the whole book and continue every day to read bits. You have made me even closer the spiiritual realms than I thought I was. I enjoy it so much, it has taught me so much. "An Angel Treasury" is my best friend.

A few weeks ago I had the most wonderful experience with an owl. We moved into an apartment, and the very first thing I noticed was that there were owls about. It is something you dont see much as I am told that owls are very shy creatures. I was standing on my balcony and just making the whooing sounds, they came flying over to me and that terrified me to death.

I left it a few nights, but always enjoying just staring at them. A few nights later, I went through a rough patch with my family regarding my parents house. My parents passed away a couple of years ago so selling my parents house to me was out of the question. The house is now sold but I have decided because of circumstances to just step away from my family. They have caused me alot of pain and I was unsure if I was making the right decsion.

On my way home, I prayed to the angels asking them to please give me a sign if I was doing the right thing? That night I was extremly hurt and confused, my husband and I
decided to make a bed on the floor infront of the telly. We fell asleep.

In the early hours of the morning I was awoke by knocking on the pattio door. I opened my eyes, sat up and saw an owl sitting there, he was two to three feet away from me. He just stared at me for a long time. I woke louis my husband, to see if I was not imagining it. My husband got concerned that the cats would eat the owl, but then he thought the owl would eat the cats. At that time we did not know where the cats were? When louis got up to check, the cats were just sitting right by the owl and was not bothered. It is something that will stay with me for the rest of my life, it was amazing. I asked for a sign and I got one, my choice was a wise one, I cant believe it happend in my life time.
Wendi

Hi Wendi
what a wonderful story. Of course birds are often signs of spirit so maybe your owls had a little human intervention in their 'sign' to you! Lovely!

White Feathers at New Year
Hi Jacky,

Happy New Year! I've got a story for you... The same as every year my family and I all spent New Years eve together. As Big Ben chimed midnight we all went outside to the patio in the back garden to watch the fireworks. We was all standing there admiring the fireworks that were all going off over the back when lots of white feathers all floated down from the sky. There were no signs of a bird. My mum came running through the back door and scattered them on the table. We counted and there were 22 white feathers. My mum and I strongly believe they were sent down from heaven. I've attached a picture of them to this email.

What do you think?

Rebecca xx

Hi Rebecca,
what a lovely story! Assuming that a bird didn't get blown up by a passing firework it does sound like it could be a sign (sorry - couldn't resist that one!)!

What a wonderful message to bring in the New Year.

11:11

Dear Jacky,
it is a pleasure to write to you as I love your column in Chat 'It's Fate' and I especially liked your sensitive article 'A Glimpse of Heaven'.

The reason I am writing to you is for a little bit of advice. I don't know whether this is simply a coincidence as we go from day to day, but for about three years now I always seem to notice the time in double digits- for example, 23;23 or 00;00, 15;15 or 10;10. Do you think this has a special meaning or spiritual significance for me?

Also, I always seem to tune into the clock at twenty to four pm. Is this a significant spiritual time?

Your help and guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for all your work,
Kind Regards,

Laura
.

Hi Laura
The numbers DO have significance. The numbers 11:11 for example indicate a 'wake up call' - our angels and spiritual guides want to remind us of who we are (spirit living a human existance).

The angel author Doreen Virtue and Lynette Brown have created a great book about angel numbers you might enjoy (called 'Angel Numbers!')

Angel Altar
Hello

I hope you dont mind me contacting you about this. I live with my husband and our 2 small children in a one-bed roomed flat, but we have been told we should be able to move into a 3 bed roomed place by October (fingers crossed).

My 4 year old son Jamie and I keep finding small white feathers everywhere, more than we normally would in town full of seagulls! Jamie has a few of these in his drawer at school. Because of this, he would love to help me make an angel alter in the new place, aswell as a little sanction for fairies at the end of our garden. It will be the first time he has had a garden so he wants to make the most of it, which will hopefully include growing his own strawberries!

Do you have any advice for us on making the angel altar and the perfect fairy sanction please? We have never done this before and we would just like to say Thankyou in this way for the angels answering our prayers (we have been trying to move out of this place for 2 years, and have been here 4 years in total). I also believe the fairies will help make this new home a very happy one, where we can hopefully add a 3rd child!

Thank you so much for reading this and I hope I havent taken up too much of your time
Michelle

HI Michelle
Hello my lovely - thank you for writing.
an angel altar needs to be somewhere you love - you can collect objects together that mean 'angel' to you and your family. This could be on a shelf, table top or even on a window sill.

add things like:

1. angel figurines
2. crystals
3. feathers (perhaps in a jar so they can be seen) or a pretty box (you can decorate these yourself with spray paint, stickers etc
5. shells or other pretty natural objects
6. angel books, angel cards (you can buy cards suitable for children - try Diana Cooper's cards for children or Doreen Virtues Unicorn Cards)
7. A candle (to be lit when adults are present - safest is a tea light) or a pretty lamp (try a salt crystal lamp or a lamp which changes colours or spins lights onto the ceiling (nursery lights are good for this).
8. A bowl of water with a flower head floating inside, a plant in a pot or vases of fresh flowers (need regular watering and changing to keep them fresh)
9. photographs of family and pets

A fairy altar is nice outside (or inside - either)

1. Fairy lights of course (Christmas tree lights either inside or outside type)
2. windchimes
3. a fairy house (make one out of a cardboard box - with natural bark, leaves etc stuck on) - or with an adult help make a fairy door and windows (wood or clay) to stick on a tree outside or skirting board in the house
4. Decorate a table with a sparkly shawl or scarf
5. Glittery things are a must - how about making your own things?
6. Fairy figurines are cheap enough to buy
7. coloured feathers from craft shops
8. A place for fairy offerings (they like honey - how about those little tiny pots you buy in the supermarket or have at your hotel breakfast?
9. Natural objects - pretty shells or sparkly stones and crystals - decorate your own stones with glitter and felt tips!
10. convert (or make your own) fairy furniture - cotton reels make great chairs - a circle of card on the top and you have a table....etc
