ALBANY MODEL AERO CLUB

WHAT'S NEW PAGE

The slack arse has returned!  Hmmm, whats been happening?  Had to remove the guestbook because it seems there are a number of arseholes in this world that reckon it's a good idea to advertise on these pages.  Well guess what?  Thanks to you I have removed the guestbook. No big deal for me.
I know a few of us went to the Red Bull Air race on the 19th November 2006.  Not bad but to many people and it was a bit boring.  I prefer to watch Railway Bob down the club doing some of his manouvres (and the way he flies planes) rather than watch a full day of the Red Bull.  It was good but I think once is enough.  We had a crashing day on the Sunday before the race.  There must have been something in the air.  I lost my Diablo, Bob spun his Tiger Shark into a couple of pieces, Graham crashed his 30 Raptor, Dennis crash his mini T Rex and Greg crashed his 50 Raptor.  Got some pics somewhere.  If they pay me enough money I wont put them on the site.  Anyway, fly safe.

The page is updated again.  Geeze, twice in a month.  Where do I find all the time?  Have added a few pics which Railway Bob sent in.  Unfortunately they are all crashes.  I dont mind cause none of them were mine.  Held the AGM on Sunday 24/06/06.  Thanks to the former committee members for jobs well done, especially Graham who has been treasurer for the past 7 years.  Fees remain at $165 for Seniors, $155 for Pensioners and $90 for Juniors.
Enjoy flying..................

OK! I've been a bad boy.  Hant updated the site for a week or three,  What has been happenig you ask?  Graham has not been at all dissapointing.  The new Mitchell Bomber went in but didnt do much damage.  The Mosquito went in the deck today and did a little bit of damage.  The club is going really well with about 37 members.
I wont mention that Railway Bob put his plane into the deck today, or that he keeps harrassing me to update these pages.  Worst thing about Railways crash is that I didnt get a pic.  C'mon Blake, flick me a pic.  Watch these pages for "Railway Bobs AMAC site".  Coming Soon.
Gawd I'm an Asshole at times.

Mums birthday today.  Happy Birthday to her.  Graham lost the Mitchell Bomber about 3 weeks ago.  We have spent quite a few days trying to find it but he has painted it camaflague green which makes it blend perfectly with the bush.  He was watching the news the other night when it was reported that a Mitchell Bomber had been found.  Graham got all excited and thought his one had been found but it appears it was a real one off the coast of Queensland which was lost in the war.  He flew his new Comet today.  It went quite well.  See the video of the Comet here.

Finally got around to uploading a low quality slope comp video.  It's low quality cause my server space is very limited.  At least you get an idea what it was like and the games that Railway Bob and James were playing when Dave was receiving his prize.

The fan mail has been inspiring. Thanks Railway Bob.  Quite a bit has happened since the last update.  I am now the proud owner of Gold Wings and Richard has his Bronze Wings.  Graham was missing for 3 weeks after moving house.  The Strega had a slight bingle and I have finally got the Spitfire flying close to normally.  Steve has also been missing for a few weeks but I have a couple of pics of him in the "
Our Planes" section. Check him out when he was a bit younger!
Railway Bob is known to be very relaxed when he flies.  He talks on his mobile phone, fliesin the rain and even
lies down when he's flying.  What a trooper!  I think he takes this relaxed flying a bit to seriously.
Finally, a funny thing happened to me when landing the other day.  My wheel flicked up a small stone which stuck itself into the aileron.
Check it out!
Old Bob has a new chopper.  He had one the other week, now he has three.  I think this may be the start of a fetish.
I can not upload movies at this stage due to server problems.

What a great day flying on Sunday.  I took the new Hairyanus out for its maiden flight and let me tell you that it flew very well.  Bob had the Mustang back out and Graham had the tri wing Focke Wolfe out.  Trev is doing well with the trainer and should be doing 100% landings next week.

This is becoming a regular occurrence me not updating the page.  The slope comp has come and gone.  It was a great day and congrats to Dave on winning the Skuar which was supplied by Kye from Wowings . I will be updating the slope page and adding a new page.  There will be a video of some not so good landings thanks to the photography from Kieran and Trev. I will also add a couple of more pics.  Happy Flying.

Yes I have been a slack bugger because it has been over 1 month since I did an update.  There have been a few new planes at the club.  Graham has his supberb looking Mitchell Bomber and Steve has the Extra 300 with the Saito 150 installed.  Both are beautiful planes in their own right.  James has assured us that the "Hots" are nearing completion.  Not a bad job.  Wilbur and Orville had their plane flying.  Thats about when James started to build the "Hots".  These are going to be some really mean flying machines that will have been built to perfection.  I reckon Railway Bob will have the thing flying inside out before the end of the maiden flight.  Can't wait to see James's new Groupner transmitter.Had the slope soarer out for a couple of flights before the comp in a couple of weeks.  Dave smacked my elevon which was good in a way, because it made me do a couple of much needed repairs.  Cant wait.  You will see the results here soon.
