ACES OF THE 20TH. FG

Jack Ilfrey talks about aces.

The first two aces of the 20th. FG, James Morris and Lindol Graham. There were 9 pilots that scored 5 or more victories in the ETO flying the P-38. 5 of these were from the 8th AF, of them James "Slick" Morris is the highest scoring having claimed all of his 7 1/3 victories in the P-38, second is Lindol Graham with 5 1/2. Therefore the 20th has the distinction of having the two highest scoring P-38 pilots in the 8th AF.
