| You Know You're Addicted to Jackie Chan When.... |
| 1) You name your pet cats after the Jackie Chan Stuntman Team... 2) ...or your kids 3) You own every one of his movies on VHS, DVD, and VCD... 4) ...and you don't own a DVD player. 5) You memorized the subtitles so that you don't have to read them. 6) You write stories about your fantasies. 7) You have gotten many friends to get addicted to Jackie... 8) ...and you are proud of it. 9) You can point out where he gets injured in all of his movies. 10) You make a webpage. 11) You practice the gum trick that was done in Armour of God... 12) ...and you get your first injury doing a "stunt" (or that is what yout tell people!) 13) You take up martial arts to be like him. (Ryan) 14) You sit through The Prisoner just to see Jackie. (Ryan) 15) You try to do moves like jackie Chan when you are alone in your bedroom. (Ryan) 16) All you can think about is Jackie Chan. (Ryan) 17) You don't even need a player to watch Jackie movies. you just sit back and close your eyes... 18) ...and you recite the film from memory, much to the amusement/annoyance of your family and friends. 19) You sit at your computer for 10 minutes, just trying to think these up! :-) 20) You are subscribed to every group and mailing list there is and are convinced you are on speaking terms with every fan that uses the internet. 21) You read in your Cantonese text book "Have a good fight" instead of "Have a good flight." (Monique) 22) You have seen Rumble in HK (Police Woman), know how bad it is, but bought it anyways just to help you complete your collection. 23) You find yourself eating things you never would have dreamed of eating because of Jackie. (Kristy) 24)You catch yourself using his gestures and mannerisms quite unconsciously (Kristy) 25) You say "Wah!" everytime something surprises you. (Kristy) 26) You no longer communicate in anything longer than a sentance fragment (Kristy) 27) You like Chinese music better than English music even though you have no idea what they are saying. (Kristy) 28) You can no longer talk without using your hands or making sound effects (Kristy) 29) You find it difficult to say "English" opposed to "Anglish," "still" as opposed to "stiw," and generally catch yourself lapsing into Changlish on a regular basis (Kristy) 30) You drag your family, friends and complete strangers to see a Jackie movie on opening night and practically pay for their popcorn to get them to go-happily! (Kristy) 31) You go to the theater to see Jackie's latest movie at least 8 times, even if you have to go by yourself (Kristy) 32) You think all actors in the fight scenes of American "action" movies move through molasses (Kristy) 33) You cannot write American "action" movies without putting quotes around the word "action," unless Jackie's in it. (Kristy) 34) You are no longer impressed with bluescreens, wires, special effects, fist fights, and American "Action" movies, and cannot watch them without yawning at least once and saying, "Oh Pleeeaaase!" at least 3 times and critiquing the camera angles. (Kristy) 35) You think any movie that does not have Jackie in it is a waste of perfectally good free time you could have spent watching Jackie. (Kristy) 36) If you're a girl, you compare every other guy you see to Jackie. (Kristy) 37) You spend 95% of your day dreaming about/planning/wondering how you can get close to Jackie--AND STAY THERE! (Kristy) 38) You break into a wide silly grin, and start to giggle everytime someone mentions Jackie's name (Kristy) 39) You look up into the sky periodically during the day and wonder where Jackie is, what he's doing and if he is okay. (Kristy) 40) You can't say less than 1000 words about Jackie everytime someone brings him up in a conversation. (Kristy) 41) You forego doing your homework assignment in lieu of making a list of things that indicate you're addicted to Jackie and consider it time well spent. (Kristy) 42) When you can't have a conversation with ANYone at ANYtime about ANYthing without telling them about this wonderful guy... (Monique) 43) You spend all your free time on the internet and only visit Jackie related sites (Monique) 44) When you refer to all actors by their full names, and to Jackie only as "Jackie" and you are convinced that the whole world will understand.
