| In all of Jackie's movies, there is something that impresses me, like spectacular stunts (Police Story, Project A, Armour of God I & II, etc.) or great dramatic acting (Heart of Dragon). Except for this movie. If I think about it really hard, maybe the scenes where he moves with the grace of a cat. I saw this on TV, so a lot of dialogue and scenes had been cut or edited. His partner was annoying and also the scenes that kept showing him jumping in slow motion. *After the movie was finished, he remained in HK and reshot the ending right with Bill "Superfoot" Wallace and added a subplot to make it more interesting. He cut most of the bad language and nudity and rereleased it. The only way that I will watch this movie again is if I can get that version or if someone will pay me to watch it. *He says that the only good thing that came out of this movie was that it gave him inspiration to do the Police Story movies. 6/10 (2 of those are for the scenes with Jackie in the hot tub and 1 is because his English had improved a lot!) VCD Review The time has finally come for me to watch it again! I was able to get the VCD version! Only problem..no subtitles! Still it was a huge improvement for the original. Tons of new scenes added with a dancer (sorry, don't know her name), as well as a much improved fight scene at the end. In the original English version, Jackie looked slow and not very bright. I enjoyed this more than I thought I would for not being able to understand most of it. There was a new fight scene added in a gym! I think that Jackie was trying extra hard to do this film right because that scene is excellent. I dkn't think that he could have made it better! Also the ending fight where the guy was coming at him with the saw..he was getting much closer to Jackie. In one scene, a small slip and he would have cut Jackie's throat!! 7.7/10 (I would have given it a higher rating, but I was bored for a few scene since I couldn't understand anything!) |
