| Not as violent as I expected. Note: even though it says Jackie Chan is starring, he is not the main guy in this movie. On the English box, is says Jackie Chan is the Prisoner. Is should say is A prisoner! I knew that he wouldn't be in the movie much, but he was in it for more than I expected! His scenes are okay, expecially the fight with the knife, but it lacks somewhat. Not as impressive as his fights normally are. I think that they could have been better, but if he was too good, it would have come off as unrealistic. Half the time I forgot that the movie was dubbed! Pretty good job, not corny voices; though Jackie's had a wierd accent at times. If you watch this movie for Jackie's scenes, go ahead, but watch the rest of the movie as well! Great performances from Sammo and Andy Lau, and the rest of the cast.. Anything but boring! And....there were outtakes! That surprised me! Those were okay. Not very many of them and the credits were scrolling dead center on the screen. Well worth a look-see, expecially if you like prison movies. 8/10 |
