I ordered this on the internet so I could get the subtitled version. They send me the wrong one (dubbed version) so I am hoping to replace it. Since I opened it to see if it was the right one or not, I decided to watch it. I had been warned that the dubbing was awful...and it was. Chinese people don't look right speaking with New York gangster accents. It was easier to watch if I focused on something other than their mouths.
I also found that it was better the second time when I was able to catch things I couldn't hear/understand the first.
Jackie wrote it based on the movie Lady for a Day. He had to add in fight scenes or else he wouldn't have been able to make it. The fight scenes were great, expecially the one in the rope (?) factory.
After I got used to the voices I thought this movie was great. Hopefully I can get the subtitled version, if they even have it. It lost a point for the voices.
