| I was able to rent a copy of the A&E Biography on Jackie. I believe that it was made in 1997. It was only 40 minutes long (39min.45seconds), but it wasn't that bad. Most if the info I already knew, but the additional info on the opera schools, HK film making, and the interviews (with Jackie and other stars) were really good. A little hard to understand Jackie, he was having trouble putting his thoughts into English words. He talked about some beatings at the opera school and also pointed out most of his injuries (couldn't hear what he was saying because of the narrator!!!). I wish that there would have been more talk about his early films. It did talk about his stunt work, then boom, he started working on his own films. Didn't say anything about the crappy ones that Lo Wei made him do that bombed. Mentioned some stuff about the Triads. I would have prefered some more info on early films rather than the Triads info, but to each his own. 7/10 Not sure how to rate this. Entertaining, but only a few times of watching for me. |
