| Wow! I'll say it again, wow! This is the second JC film I have seen on the big screen. Hmmm..I don't even know where to begin with reviewing. All I can think about is wanting to go see it again! First, the bad things about it....It ended? I was reading Jackie's diary of what was going on on the set, and he had mentioned singing a song. Was hoping that that would stay in, but maybe in the DVD if it was filmed. More Donnie Yen. Some things from SN were reused, like Roy day-dreaming about women, Roy overhearing Chon talking about him..but all had unique twists, like the first one :) Good things....everything else! I laughed non-stop, even parts where no one else seemed to find funny. The fight with Donnie was great, but he did make a rather abrupt *cough* exit. The ending fight was even better! Had to laugh when Chon told Roy "You go dis way, I go dat way." reminded me of Rush Hour. There were a couple scenes that seemed to be borrowed from Young Master and Fearless Hyena, but with a twist, of course! I saw some great fights and choreography that I thought I would never get to see in another of Jackie's films. I was grinning like an idiot. I enjoyed it so much I forgot about the outtakes until they were up on the screen! All of them were great, better than most of them and makes up for the shabby outtakes in Shanghai Noon. I have noticed with many movies that sequels are never as good as the original. Seems like all of Jackie's sequels I have liked more than the first! Except maybe Police Story (though I tend to like the second one better than the first). *10.5/10 (yeah, no type-o. Since I gave S.Noon a 10--that it deserves, this one I liked a little better!) |
