The Wonderful history of Postal Orders
An essay by KooK
Postal orders are brilliant things. They were invented a long time ago becaus the dinosaurs wanted to buy things from one another via mail. Therefore a clever young allosaurus by the name of Frederheimer Ostenflockmann-Herbert-Jones, invented postal orders.
Frederheimer Ostenflockmann-Herbert-Jones' brilliant invention first came into use in Russia in 1741, when a man called Mary e-mailed his friend and bought ten windows, an egg and the chicken who's best friend' mum layed the egg. This was the start of an international postal order frenzy. It was also the single most important event in the istory of postal orders, other than their creation.
Later on in 1273, Duke Borringham of West Ruummm, on the magical moon of Froglingburgh, issued 14,000 postal orders to be printed in the world's first postal order factory. Borringham's postal orders were used throughout the universe, and many of them are still in circulation today! A wonderful example of the amazing versitility and incredible stamina of postal orders.
Perhaps the most famous and astonishing postal orders in history are those created by Lord Osmond of Frovlehamshireburghburyweststreet. His postal orders were made of purest golden edam cheese. Lord Osmond traded with these postal orders all over the world, but, unfortunately most of them were stolen by Giant Killer Cheese Wanting Sparrow Crows from the planet Quaargnogfurl. And it is because of this that these postal orders are so god damn rare and so stupendously amazing.
