Writing is pretty much all I do.  I'm not good a music vids, well, actually, I've never tried but I don't have the patience, so I'm guessing I wouldn't be good at it.  As an artist I am fair, I can at least capture something of my subject in my work but I'm more a 'feel' artist - only able to draw when the mood really hits me, which isn't too often.  I enjoy making websites; first I created Quinn's Basement (For the Slider's character, Quinn Mallory), then I came to Stargate and created the Chaapa'ai (The original) which is still up (I've lost the pass word and can't pull it down). Then I created the DANIELites website but yanked that when I got tired of reiterating what was already out there, presented way better than I could do it. So, then I created mailing lists, and pretty proud of all the ones I've created, they have become communities and nice places to 'hang out' --  but really, and most basically, I write.

To write one must really love or at least know and understand their subject.  Daniel Jackson is my subject.  I know, and love, him.  I see his good and his bad and I see his lost and his drive.  I'd like Daniel as a friend, and regret that it isn't possible. 

Jack, however, gets to have Daniel as a friend.  In my mind, Jack gets to have Daniel 7 ways to Sunday, and back again.  Why?  Why not! So I write.. and I write... a LOT....  and I lose things.. a LOT....

We all have them.  The place we stash items/ papers/ our life that we just know we will need or get around to some day - but just not right now!

I have many such folders, and drawers, and shelves, and car ashtrays (I don't smoke, so what else do I need it for???) and flowerpots (once teeming with life now teeming with crumpled paper), and boxes and.. well, I guess you get the idea. 

I horde stories that will never see the light of day.  And because I horde I have a folder on my computer titled "the Horde" (Seriously, come over and have a look one day!). Tonight I thought I'd air this folder and I was surprised that I'd managed to horde so much into it. 

Given that, and the opportunity of spending a quiet evening with the boys, I decided to put up one (count it, ONE) page on the Slash Index that would point people to the direction of the Horde Files.... 

*sighs*

Typical me, I've redesigned the whole blooming place now, haven't I! 

I've been writing a good many years now, in this fandom alone, so I have had many ideas that haven't featured in any of the fics I currently have online (someone told me it's almost 124 fictions or parts thereof, but I haven't counted them for myself.  Truly, with parts as well, it would have to be way higher as Bombshells alone has hundreds of parts.. but I digress...). 

With this amount of writing I'm bound to come up with an idea that the show actually produces eventually, and with the many stories started on my computer but never finished, I have paralleled their work a few times.  While I know I don't influence them in their work, I have this need to prove that they don't influence my work either, so by getting my stuff up and out there, I'm kinda protecting my reputation as a writer by showing that I came up with it first.  More about that though in the Pending Works folder.

I also spent hours upon hours sifting through images (my GOD, where did I get that lovely MS photo from that has to appear now on almost every page....?? I have NO idea.. but no doubt it's someone's.. Do tell me if it's yours !!!!

I discovered that I have a few to share with you now.  Check out each page, to my knowledge none of the images here are manipulated (apart from that one in the header and the park bench one on this site) The rest are just as the guys played them. Look out for the little looks between our lovers....

Also, I found stuff I'd forgotten I'd done.. like a story board of a Slash version of "Brief Candle".  That comes under Other Fun Stuff.

I have so many bit's of stories that didn't make the final draft of a piece and ended up on my 'cutting room floor' so I thought I'd make a page called In the Bin, which is where they would have ended up, had I not been such a horder..

Of course, I'm almost as famous for my stories that never end as I am for the stories that just feel like they never end - in other words, I do have a nasty tendency to start a story, lose momentum then stick it away.  I found a few of those in my travels through the guts of my machine, and thought I'd inflict them on you - because you could probably use another frustration in life right now. No ? Well, never mind, I've stashed them on the pages The (in)complete works of Nessessitee so they will be easy to avoid, if need be.

So now you know why this was done.  I'll leave you to wander the site and let me know if you enjoy it, won't you?
