The Life of Jack Robinson

The Life and Works from Jack

Pocket Full of Pennies

I went to buy a cup of coffee
and found I had pocket full of pennies.
Had I been in England a century ago
they may have been guineas.

When I told the cashier what I had
she said it would make good subject for a poem.
But here I am completely baffled.
I will finish this poem. I’ll show’em.

A cup of coffee is not expensive
for seniors, only Sixty-four cents.
I will even show my ID,
in case they are hard to convince.

At that price I can get rid of four
and that should make shout.
Look at me people
I can turn my pockets inside out.
