For the two years we endured with superhuman capabilities and continued to strive towards the end, the weaker ones were broken and strayed away. We picked them up and together hand in hand , we continued down the long perilious journey from which we know that the end will reward us for our endeavours. To all that walked through the valley of the shadow of death together with me namely true fighters like Alfie, Shaleem, Haleq,Adha,Westley Maarof,and all the men of Alpha Coy of 1 SIR, I am proud to call all of you friends. With you all, we stared down at the face of uncertainty, doom and battle and was able to laugh at it and moved on. Once again I salute these people who have joined me for the times of our lives.A silent prayer for our departed comrade, ELFIE BASTIAN who was called Home to be with HIM in November 99. You are and always be fondly remembered by the warriors of the unit and will remain in our hearts and mind for eternity. May God bless his soul....... |
