The Top 25 Non-Singles Of The Year are defined by their diversity.  This can be seen no better than in the fact that, though the Top 25 is heavy on the alternative and rock side of music, three of the Top 5 songs (Including the #1 and #2 songs of the year) are from the realm of hip hop.
5. The Investigation by Sugarcult
Sugarcult came back in a big way in 2006.  After managing to do well with hit singles like Pretty Girl (The Way) and Memory, the band had yet to create a truly complete disc.  However, on Lights Out, the band managed to do exactly that.  The Investigation is just one of the tracks that managed to make an impact.  The song debuted on September 27, making a huge splash by taking the top spot in it's debut.  At the end of the charting year, the track had spent eleven weeks on the chart (And is still doing quite well).  All eleven weeks have been spent in the Top 5.  The track, in fact, has spent over half of it's time in the Top 2, with the debut week at #1 and five weeks at #2.  The Investigation is easily one of the year's top tracks.

4. The Night We Called It A Day by Deepspace 5
The best way to describe this track very well may be "acoustic hip hop."  A track that ends up being over seven minutes long, The Night We Called It A Day still manages to stay interesting throughout.  It truly is one of the most unique hip hop tracks to come out in quite some time, and how could it not be great when so many great artists come together and collaborate like this?  The track debuted on January 4 at #7.  It would ultimately spend fourteen weeks on the chart.  The top of the ride would be a four-week stay at #1.  The song also ended up spending seven weeks in the Top 5 and a full ten weeks in the Top 10.  The Night We Called It A Day combined a lot of great elements to make an awesome track.

3. You're All I Have by Snow Patrol
Snow Patrol provided one of the year's top discs and one of the top singles, so it is no surprise that the band also supplied one of the year's top non-singles.  You're All I Have opens up 2006's Eyes Open with an upbeat, positive thought of love and puts the entire disc on track to be excellent.  You're All I Have debuted on May 10 in the top spot.  It would end up spending two weeks in that spot.  What truly made the song one of the top non-singles of the year was the fact that it just managed to hang around all the time.  The track spent a whopping 33 weeks on the chart (And, at year's end, was still charting), with seven weeks in the Top 5 and nine in the Top 10.  You're All I Have certainly made it's mark on the chart.

2. When Heaven Scrapes The Pavement by Mars Ill
Before When Heaven Scrapes The Pavement became a single and made it's way to #1 on the singles chart, it was doing the same thing on the non-singles chart.  In all likelihood, it would have spent nearly the entire year on this chart had it not become a single.  The track debuted on January 25 at #18, but would not stay there for long.  When Heaven Scrapes The Pavement spent 23 weeks on the chart.  And, even though only one of those weeks was spent at #1, the track made big waves by spending ten weeks in the Top 5 and 19 weeks in the Top 10.  When Heaven Scrapes The Pavement is certainly one of the year's top singles, but it was also one of the year's best non-singles as well.

1. Stand Back And Watch by Mars Ill
Mars Ill clearly dominated the non-singles chart in 2006.  The controversy that surrounded and ultimately delayed the release of Pro*Pain managed to make the music that much sweeter.  Stand Back And Watch was one of the most infectious tracks on the disc, and that translated into incredible popularity on the non-singles chart and, ultimately, the #1 nod.  The track debuted on May 10 at #5.  It would peak at #1 and would stay there for five weeks.  Ultimately, the track would spend fourteen weeks in the Top 5 and seventeen weeks in the Top 10.  It would be this run that would lead to Stand Back And Watch becoming 2006's top non-single.
