What is a non-single?  It is a question often asked in regards to this chart.  The answer is quite simple: Any song that is not a current single while it is on this chart.  That means songs that have never been singles can meet with songs that were singles ten years ago on this chart.   Or songs that eventually become singles that chart beforehand.
