| GAY MASONS | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Seattle's Masonic Lodge of the Arts (United States of America) This page on Daylight Lodge No. 232, F.&A.M. very nicely addresses the issue of "Masonic policy on gay members." |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| GayMason.com This page goes to a page on Brother Douglas Mack's Web Site and includes some helpful information on the question of gay Masons. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| October 1999 Letter of the Month and December 1999 Letter of the Month Two excellent responses from Right Worshipful Gary L. Dryfoos regarding the questions of being gay and being a Mason. As Right Worshipful Dryfoos writes: " But no matter what anyone might tell you, there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in the ancient landmarks of Masonry that forbids the membership of gay men." |

| Brother Joris Caspar's Site Brother Caspar (not related to me) presents a very simple reflection on "Liberty, Equality, Fraternity." "Every human being should respect the equality of every other human being. This is ever more so true of a Mason - a person who has taken upon himself solemn obligations to treat all human beings, more especially a Brother Mason, as equal to himself." |

| Frater Joseph's Site Frater Joseph speaks of the journey we take. "We begin our journey in the dark, seeking the light that can only come from above. . . . We are all equal on this journey. It matters not how many honors one has received or stations held. We have been created equal by the Supreme Architect of the Universe. We are each unique. We are each equal. Come, let us journey forth ino the light!" |

| Controversy in Lodge (United States of America) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The Annual Elections at Richmond Randolph Lodge No. 19, Richmond, Virginia, United States of America in December 2005 resulted in quite a surprise. The Senior Warden was not elected as Worshipful Master because he was an openly gay man and he maintained a personal Web Site where he shared his life as a "gay man who is a Mason and a God-seeker from a Byzantine tradition and who worships in an Episcopal [Anglican] faith community." | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
