Wonder Woman

This photo was taken at my 21st Birthday Party, which was (duh!) Fancy Dress on the theme of Heroes and Villains. The wig was hired, because I had short hair at the time, but I made the rest of the costume myself. I was amazed at the number of guests who arrived and expressed surprise at "my" long hair!

Black Canary

This photo was taken about a year after the Wonder Woman shot above, at my first Comics Convention. We were on a cruise on Sydney Harbour. Chris is the other guy in costume here. I don't know where he lives these days.

Again, I made the costume and hired the wig for the day. (Accuracy is important! The Black Canary character also had short dark hair and wore a blonde wig!) What really surprised me that day was that when I got out of the costume, people really didn't recognise me! Upon relating this to Mike Grell, who used to draw Black Canary in Green Arrow Comics, I was told some years later that it was because no-one looked at my face when I was in costume!

SuperDavid

This photo was taken when David was about 10 months old (we're talking early 1993-ish). I made this costume for him to wear to a Comics Convention.

SuperMegan

This photo was taken at Purim 1997. Once again, I made this costume too.

Super Jenny

This photo was taken in 1987 at a friend's surprise (S-themed) birthday party. There's another better shot of me in this costume floating around out there somewhere. One day I'll find it and add it to this page!

Wonder Girl - Sharon

This photo is of my friend Sharon in costume for a friend's 21st birthday, in 1988. More photos from the same party below!

Wonder Girl - Me!

Here's me as a later version of Wonder Girl, in costume for the same 21st party.

DC Trio

Here's three of us at the party. Check out the next picture of Superman below!

Superman?

Bet you don't usually see Superman doing this! This is Chris, the same guy who was in costume as the Black Knight when I was dressed as Black Canary.

Troia

This is the costume that Donna Troy started to wear when she got rid of the Wonder Girl costume.

The Technis Imperative

OK, so I’m not in costume here, but I AM in a comic book!

This picture is from page 10 of the third book in the JLA vs Titans miniseries: The Technis Imperative.

The lady crying in the foreground of the second panel (in the green top) is me, courtesy Phil Jimenez, whom I met a little while before he drew this book.

Lady Liberty

Work’s Xmas party, a couple of years ago.  (I also wore the costume to a Purim function the same year.)  Made from an old sheet, some green cardboard, and a tourist Liberty crown.Probably the most fun costume to wear of all of the photos shown here!
