The One Minute RPG system

Step 1: Score Your Stats

You have three main stats: Brains, Beauty and Brawn. You have 10 points. Divide them into each of the three stats. Minimum: 1 point, Maximum: 6 points. Now let's move on.

Step 2: Add your skills.

You have 8 main skills: Fighting, Driving, Technology, Performance, Intuition, Education, Nature, and Bureaucracy.

Need further explanations?

Bureaucracy - You know paper pushing jobs.
Driving - You can drive something.
Education - You know stuff.
Fighting - You can fight.
Intuition - You have clear thoughts.
Nature - You have survival skills.
Performance - You can lie.
Technology - You can program your VCR.

Roll 1d6 for each skill and that's it.

Step 3: Health

Roll 2d6 + Brawn = HP Total

Step 4: History, Personality, Character

Do that on your own time. Then you're done.

COMBAT

1) Roll Initiative (Brawn + Intuition + 2d6)

2) Determine Order

3) State Actions

4) Fight (Fighting+Brawn+2d6) or take an action (Appropriate Stat + Appropriate Skill + 2d6)

5) Deal Damage (1d6 for hand to hand, 2d6 for blades, 3d6 for firearms)

6) Repeat.

TAKING ACTIONS

As above, same rule.

IMPROVEMENT

Well, you'll probably never play these bar characters again, but if you do, you get a point to add to any score just for playing.

Your role in any game is to solve the dilemma provided for you by the DM. He sets a score that you have to beat by rolling 2d6 and adding his own modifier to the roll. Basic: +2, Easy: +4, Normal: +6, Tough: +8 and Impossible: +10.

That's it, now go play. Look for my expansion sets, The Gamemaster's Page, The Sheet of Powers and Abilities, and The Villain Folio.
