- A tribute to Arturo Pousa
Arturo Pousa was a kind, humble man, always putting others in front of himself.
He did not go to any great length to make himself noticed yet he was noticed by all.
He was a kind, loving grandpa and father, helping his grandson with all his work and being ready with an answer on any possible topic from German to history and obviously maths and physics, his specialities. He did not boast about his many discoveries in the field of engineering or the amount of hospitals or business centres for which he had calculated the structure.
When he was in hospital it was only for fear of disturbing the nurses that he fatally reached for the bottle and fell. Even after that when he could still write, after vomiting he told his wife and his daughter to keep away for fear of making them dirty. Even later he asked them if his grandson was going to school.
Please remember this wonderful man in your prayers.
He was profoundly intelligent and awoke respect and friendship, for his modesty and great goodness, in all those who were privileged to know him.
At university he was a brilliant professor, very much appreciated for the clarity of his explanations and the interest he showed in all who approached him In industry the results of some of his research is still in use today.
He gave us his time, patience and kindness without limit and with simplicity.
May our grateful love accompany you, Arthur, for ever.
