It is hoped that this page can provide a forum for table tennis players and coaches from all over the world to aid in the development of coaching techniques. These papers have been compiled from a generic sporting standpoint. However, the recommendations and techniques documented in these reports can be easily applied to table tennis. The first of these two papers provides an insight into the various types of motivation and enjoyment that might be incorporated within training sessions in general while the second discusses the topic of anxiety in sport making.

Enjoyment and Sport - An article by John-Paul Lane on the benefits of using enjoyment as a means for enhancing coaching sessions.

Injury and Stress - An article by John-Paul Lane on the correlation between stress and injury in sport. This paper also suggests various concepts that might be included in coaching sessions in order to reduce stress levels in sport.

In order for this page to succeed in its aim of extending the coaching experience I am asking coaches/players/people with a general interest in coaching to send me their experiences of coaching.
