Janene, On her Family
I am blessed to be part of an incredible family. I think my upbringing has been bohemian, for the most part. Or traditional with a liberal twist? Suffice to say, I have been spoiled by my parents with their encouragement, unending and 'at-a-phone-call' support, and a thirst for knowledge. I refuse to accept the status-quo - question, question, question. They've given me my drive and determination. I have to thank them for my sense of humour and my funny laugh (that everyone comments on). My wanderlust comes from them, too -- I spent more of my childhood 'going crazy' and 'going bananas' than most. I think nothing of driving 4 hours for a cup of coffee, something I got from my parents. I could say so much more than just that, but they know how important they are to me, and how much I value having them in my life. Anyone who talks with me for a period of time knows that, too.
