Step 2: Compare how solids, liquids and gases are the same and how they are different.
Your task is to tell how solids, liquids and gases are alike and how they are different.  You will use a diagram called a Venn diagram to show me what you know. 
There will be three circles in the venn diagram.  One will represent liquids, one will represent solids and one will represent gases.  In the space where the solid and liquid circles overlap you will write how liquids and solids are the same.  In space where the gas circle and the liquid circle overlap you will write how liquids and gases are the same. 
On the right there is an example of a venn diagram.  If I wanted to write something that was only true for a liquid I would write it in the A circle.  If I wanted to write down something that was only true for a solid I would write it in the B circle but if I wanted to write something that was true for both liquids and solids I would write in it where the C is.
