"They practically hate each other." Jenny commented.
"Be quiet. She's trying to bowl." Lisa whispered.
LaTasha stiffly rolled the bowling ball into the lane. The ball guttered. "You're right though." Lisa whispered. "LaTasha and Michael could never be friends."
Michael came back with a couple of sodas. "Am I always the one who has to get the drinks?"
"For now." Lisa teased. LaTasha rolled her eyes and grabbed a Coke.
"Don't be mad because you didn't knock down a pin." Jake joked. "Your turn, Lisa."
Lisa took a ball and walked up to the lane. She scored a perfect strike.
"Great job, Lisa!" Michael said, beaming.
"Michael, your turn."
Michael shrugged shyly and smiled.
"He doesn't know how to play. Here, Michael. Let me show you." Lisa offered. Michael stood and went to Lisa. She held a ball towards Michael. "Now put your index finger and pinky in these two holes and your thumb in this one..."
Jake was looking outwards. "Oh damn. Richard's gang is back." He stood.
"What are you doing?" Dave asked.
"What do you think? I'm going to talk to him." Jake said. "You remember? I used to be buds with Richard. Until he went....you know."
"I got your back then." Dave said. They gallantly walked up to the gang.
As Michael was getting adjusted to holding the ball, he saw Dave and Jake leave.
"Hey, where are they going?"
Lisa looked in the direction Michael was looking. Richard and his gang were there. Without saying a word, Lisa followed Jake.
"Well, well. If it isn't the humans' best friend." Richard said with a smirk. He wore a black sweater with a hood over his head. His eyes were similar to Michael's, large and deep. But Richard's eyes were deep with darkness, not compassion. He had thick full lips and was very handsome to say the least. His "gang"--Paul and William--were always behind him.
"Look, I'm not trying to start anything." Jake said.
"Just back off--"
"Back off? Back off??" Richard laughed. "Be careful, dude. Staying around mortals to much might have an effect on you."
Dave rolled his eyes. "You know what? You have nothing else better to do, do you?"
"Why are you guys so obsessed with saving some... thing...you drink blood from everyday? That's what I want to know." Paul said.
Lisa walked up to them. "How do you know Michael's not just a priadestic for me?"
A priadestic is a human that a vampire feeds off of over a length of time. They let that human live so he/she can drink daily. Lisa swallowed hard. She was afraid that she wanted to make Michael a priadestic.
"A priadestic, mmm?" Richard said, suspiciously. Lisa gazed back at their bowling lane. Michael was arguing with LaTasha for some reason. She turned back to Richard.
"That's BS and you know it." William stepped in. "He ain't no priadestic."
"That's why you should mind your business." Jake said.
"You don't even know that for sure."
"If it's true or not, the fact of the matter is that I want him dead." Richard's voice dropped down to just above a whisper. "Either you kill him, or I do. "
"Look, I need his blood as much as you do." Lisa said.
"No. I don't need his blood. I told you. I need him dead." Richard shot back.
William sighed impatiently. "Why are we playing nice? Skip what she says and kill the dude."
Dave punched William in the jaw and hard. "Who's playing nice?"
The daredevil in Dave began to surface.
