"Yeah," Lisa said.
"So it's Richard and His Gang." Jenny said in a sarcastic dramatic voice.
"Yeah. Jake tried to warn me."
"Why don't you just change Michael into a--"
"I can't." Lisa explained. "I'm scared. Anything could happen."
"Anything could happen now." Jenny said.
Lisa hesitated. "It's more of a risk."
There was silence.
"You love him. I didn't think you really loved him." Jenny finally said.
"Now you know."
"Where is he now?" Jenny asked.
"He's sleeping upstairs." Lisa said in an uneasy voice. She bit her bottom lip.
"Hmmmmm, I see now. You just don't love him. You want more than just him. Gosh, this is going to be tough on you."
"What are you talking about?" Lisa said.
"You tasted his blood. And you liked it."
Lisa fell silent.
"See? I know my friends well!" Jenny said proudly.
"You're afraid when you convert him, you might kill him instead. I understand the risk."
"'Jen, I love him." Lisa repeated.
"I know, girl. Me and the rest of the gang got your back. We'll help you through this."
Michael woke up by Lisa's lips brushing his cheek. His eyes fluttered open.
"Wake up, sweetie." Lisa said. Michael slowly sat up.
"What time is it?" Michael asked. He was groggy.
"Four in the afternoon."
"What?" Michael said.
Lisa laughed. "I've been up since 10 this morning."
"Gosh," he yawned. "I have to get to the studio."
"Aww, must you work today?" Lisa whined.
"You have something in mind?" Michael asked.
"We can chill out like we did yesterday. You can meet your good friend LaTasha again!"
Michael rolled his eyes, then said, "Mmm I don't know..."
Lisa kissed him on his lips. Michael was caught off guard but didn't resist.
"Mmmm...okay okay," Michael said, pulling away. He smiled broadly.
"Okay. Let me just get dressed."
As Michael was in the bathroom, Michael's phone rang.
Lisa picked it up. "Hello?"
"How did I figure out that you would be over Michael's house." The deep voice on the other line said sarcastically. Lisa tensed up. It was The Master.
"Hi," Lisa said nervously.
"Hello, my dear. I just wanted to know....there are rumors floating around that you have been dating Michael."
"You shouldn't believe everything you hear." Lisa said.
"You are absolutely right. But I am one who takes precautions. If you are dating him, I'm not the one you need to be scared of. I have no use for him anymore. But you have the rest of the vampire world to face."
"I'm not dating him. I don't intend to date him." Lisa protested.
"Sure," he said, obviously not convinced. "Look, you realize he's human, right? I don't care how much vampire there is in him. He's human in my book. I don't care if you date him. But anything further, like.... love.."--he spat out the word in disgust. "...then you know what will happen to both of you."
"I don't love him," Lisa lied. "You have nothing to worry about."
"Hmmm. I might not. But YOU will have plenty to worry about."
