Michael gazed at Lisa. She nodded with a smile.
"Sure." Michael told LaTasha.
As Michael walked to the dancefloor, LaTasha whispered to the others, "God, he is so FINE!"
Everyone laughed as she joined Michael on the dancefloor.
"He's such a gentleman too." Jenny said, tapping the tip of her pen on the table.
"Yeah, he is." Lisa agreed.
"You must go out with him." Jake said. "You look like you came right from a scene of Romeo and Juliet."
Lisa rolled her eyes. "As a matter of fact...we do 'go out'...kind of..."
"Gosh, look at the way he dances..." Jenny gushed.
"Hey, Jen. Remember whose man that is." Lisa joked.
"I'm rememberin', I'm rememberin',"
Jake laughed. "So, have you thought about it?"
"About what?" Lisa asked.
"About...fully converting him."
Lisa just stared at Jake as LaTasha and Michael came back.
"I will never dance with you again!" LaTasha yelled.
Michael turned red and covered his face with his hands.
"What happened?" Dave asked.
"He embarrassed me in front of everyone! Noooo, he didn't tell me he was a professional dancer. So he goes and shows off in front of everyone--"
"She's exaggerating." Michael said. He wasn't red because of embarrassment. He was red because he was mad.
"Shut your mouth." LaTasha snapped.
"'Tasha!" Lisa scolded. She sighed and decided to let her ramble. She was going to do it anyway.
"I'm dancing like a goof compared to Michael; he could at least tone it down a little."
"Well," Michael jumped in. "It ain't my fault if you can't keep on beat for--"
"Michael," Lisa warned. Michael took a deep breath and fell silent.
"Maybe we should get going." Lisa said. Everyone nodded.
"Hey, can I talk to you for a sec?" Jake asked.
"Sure." Lisa and Jake got up from the table.
"What is it?"
"You do plan to convert him, right?" Jake said seriously. Lisa knew this was important because he was never serious.
"Well, I thought about it. But turning just a regular human being into a vampire is dangerous. I mean, I nearly got killed when I was converted. No telling what would happen to him."
"I have something you might want to know." Jake said.
"You see that clan over there?" Jake pointed to a group of about five guys smoking and drinking. "You're lucky they didn't see Michael. Everyone is after him. Especially these guys. They don't just want his blood. Or want him to suffer. They want him gone. Like most vampires."
"They'll have to get through me first." Lisa stated confidently.
"You've got to wake up. They will hunt you, us, and anyone down to get to Michael. You've got to convert him. Soon."
"No. But I'll will do...something." She just didn't know what yet. "Don't worry. Everything will be just fine."
