"Lisa! You know I don't like going to clubs!"
"You'll like this one." Lisa insisted. It was the famous Club Soul Deep. It was the most popular club in the area. Lisa knew a few vampires that went there, but they shouldn't be a problem since they were her friends. When they entered Club Soul Deep, Lisa stopped at the door. The club was dark with lights flashing around the people dancing. She could feel the bass of the music pound the floor. One thing that shocked her was that there were more vampires than she expected.
"Lisa!" someone called. As Lisa looked around, Michael slowly put his hands around her waist. She smiled.
Jake came up to her.
"Lisa! Long time, no see!" Jake was a friend of hers. A vampire friend to be exact. He was an interesting character. Very out-going, but he was such a gentleman. He was a jokester too. He loved to pull pranks. Lisa always had thought that if Jake had met Michael, they would be best friends. This was a chance to test her theory. Jake had intense blue vampiric eyes and short brown hair. He had a nice built body, because when he was human he was a boxer. But now, if he boxed any mortal, they would be dead with one punch. He was one of the most powerful fighters of the night.
"How's it going?" Jake asked, gazing at Michael for a second.
"Everything's great." Lisa knew that Jake saw Michael had human in him.
"This is my friend, Michael." Lisa quickly introduced. Michael slid his arms from around Lisa to shake his hand.
"Pleasure to meet you." Michael said softly.
"You too." Jake told him. He gave Michael a suspicious look. "Hey, Lisa, don't you know that everybody's here?"
"Like?"
"LaTasha...."
"LaTasha?!" Lisa said. "I haven't seen her in ages!"
"Yep. LaTasha's here. Dave and Jenny is here too." Lisa couldn't wait to see them all. But they were all immortals and she felt uncomfortable.
"Hey, Mike." Lisa said. "Would you mind getting us drinks? I'll pay." She began to reach for her wallet.
"No, it's okay. I'll pay." Michael said politely. Jake smiled at him. Lisa knew that Jake was beginning to like him already. Michael went off to the bar.
"He's your friend, huh?" Jake said.
Lisa nodded. "Be nice to him okay? He's new."
"In what way?"
"All ways. " Lisa explained. "Presently I figured out he was half vampire."
"I knew something wasn't right about him..."
"Yeah, but I haven't told him yet. And I don't want to tell him anytime soon. I trust you, okay?"
Jake nodded. "You plan to tell the gang?"
Lisa hesitated. "I want to make him feel like he belongs..."
Jake nodded again "I understand completely."
They began to walk to a table away from the dancefloor.
"Hey Lisa!" People at the table stood. Lisa was greeted with many familiar faces. LaTasha hugged her.
"Wassup, girl!"
LaTasha was the one that is nice when she wants to be. But Lisa had to admit she has a major attitude at times. She could understand why. She grew up in a harsh neighborhood when she was little. But sometimes she can piss people off when she doesn't even mean to. It's just her nature. She was very pretty. Long black hair, smooth chocolate skin...any man would fall for her. Actually, every man did, which was exactly why she could hunt and kill easily as a vampire.
"I haven't seen you in a while." LaTasha said in her sweet voice
. "I haven't seen all of you in a while." Lisa gazed at Dave and Jenny Christine. They were naturally born brother and sister. They were young, at least 16 or 17 in human years. But like most vampires they were at least a century old. Jenny and Dave both had blonde hair and trademark green eyes. The only thing separating those two was the fact that Dave was an ultimate daredevil. He would face the most barbarous vampire; all you need to do was say so. Contrast to her brother, Jenny was into writing. There wasn't ever a time where she wasn't carrying a journal.
"Oh goodness, Michael's coming back with the drinks."
"Michael who?" LaTasha asked, lifting one eyebrow.
"He's half vampire." Lisa said, just above a whisper.
"There's no such thing." Dave commented.
"Well, there is now. " Jake chuckled. "I've seen him. Just incredible."
Jake fell silent when Michael came and sat the drinks on the table. "Hi everyone." he said with a shy smile.
Everyone avoided looking at him because they didn't want to give him strange looks. It was definitely clear that he was human and vampire and it felt awkward to be in the presence of a being so special.
"Hi," everyone murmured.
"Thanks for the drinks." Jenny said politely.
"Yeah, thanks man." Jake slapped Michael's hand.
Michael took a seat.
"Sooo," Jake said looking around the table. "Who here likes Marvin Gaye???"
This started an animated conversation between the six friends.
