"Michael," he said. Michael didn't seem to hear him.
"Michael, I think we should go to--"
"How could they do this to my kids!!!!" Michael cried, pounding the steering wheel. The car horn went off.
"Michael," Jeff tried again. He just hated to see Michael like this. Michael sat back in his seat with his hands over his face. "What??"
"Maybe we should go to Sharon's place." Jeff suggested.
Whyan wasn't the only one that didn't trust Sharon with Michael. But since Michael seemed so in love with her, it couldn't be too bad, as long as Jeff is along side. Michael took a deep breath, and started the engine.
When they got to the house, Sharon met both of them at the door. Sharon hugged Michael. "Oh Michael, I heard the news!! Are you alright?"
Michael shook his head somberly. With his eyes watering up with tears, he whispered, "They're my kids...."
Sharon sighed. "Come in, guys. Come in."
Sharon and Michael sat on the couch and talked. Jeff glanced at them once in a while as he watched television. Sharon held Michael as he cried. They seemed to be so in love with each other, what possibly could Whyan have been so worried about?
"Sharon, may I use your restroom?" Jeff asked politely.
"Sure. It's upstairs, down the hall." she said. "And Jeff, are you okay? I mean, I know Whyan was your friend."
Jeff nodded. "Yeah, I'm all right. But I owe it to Whyan to be strong." That was what Jeff truely believed in his heart. When Jeff left, Sharon began stroking Michael's hair.
"I'm so sorry, Michael."
Michael hadn't stopped crying. Every moment that he lived not knowing where his children were just killed him.
"I can't believe someone could do this to me..."
Sharon smiled. "Me neither. Michael, sit up please."
Michael did. Sharon looked deep into Michael's eyes as her eyes turned into an intense blue.
"Michael. It'll be all over soon. The pain you are suffering for Whyan and your children will be gone."
Michael nodded. All he could see was Sharon's eyes. That intense blue of her eyes. All of a sudden, he began to feel extremely tired. Sharon could see Michael was slipping into the sleeping spell.
"I guess you're a little tired, with all that's been going on."
Michael nodded. His eyelids were so heavy that he felt as if he could fall asleep instantly. But he didn't feel like sleeping. He wanted to think things through. Sharon smiled and patted her lap with her hand. Michael laid down, resting his head on her lap. She softly began stroking his hair again, making Michael feel totally relaxed.
"Everything will be alright...." Sharon reassured softly. "Trust me."
Jeff walked the hall, trying to find the bathroom. All the doors were closed. Peeking into one of them, he obviously found Sharon's room. It was completely covered, wall to wall, with pictures of Michael. Jeff thought this was strange, but he figured Sharon was also a fan of Michael's. A big one.
"You realized that Whyan didn't see the love we had for each other." Sharon told Michael.
Michael tried not to fall asleep, but it was getting hard not to. His eyes could barely stay open.
"Yeah," Michael stated. " I know."
"He didn't believe in love, Michael. You know that too?" Michael didn't answer.
Suddenly, a sound of a child's laughter was heard.
"Ohh God..." Michael groaned. "That sounded like Prince..."
Sharon froze for a second. "Oh Michael, you must be dreaming up things, you're so tired." She said quickly. "It's probably a TV in another room. Let me get up and turn it off."
Michael sat up so Sharon could stand. Before she left, she told Michael. " Lay down, and get some sleep, okay?"
Michael nodded and laid full-length on the couch.
"Prince!" Sharon whispered loudly. At this point, she wished she HAD killed him. "Prince!",p> She found him in the kitchen. Smiling, Prince said, "I'm hungry."
With rage building up inside of her, she picked Prince up and put him by the stairs, leading to the basement. Yanking him by the arm, she said, "You see all those bodies down there?"
Prince nodded.
"Do you want to end up like them anytime soon??"
Prince shook his head. He was beginning to get scared.
"Well I suggest you DON'T come out of that basement unless I tell you to." She pushed Prince to head down the stairs, and slammed the door, making sure it was locked this time. When Sharon came back to the living room, Jeff was sitting down watching TV again. Michael was on the couch and it seemed as if he was finally asleep. Sharon smiled and kneeled down by the couch.
She whispered, "Michael, are you asleep?"
Michael only shifted his position that he was laying in.
Jeff laughed. "You act like you're hypnotizing him or something."
Sharon smiled. "It does, doesn't it?"
She pretended to watch TV as her eyes changed to yellow. But in reality, she was reaching into Michael's dream...
Michael was at the concert rehearsal. Everything was going exactly how it went several minutes before Whyan's death. Michael was but the side of the stage watching the dancers, since he had NO idea what he was doing. Michael thought of this as a second chance to save Whyan and his kids. Michael stood and called for Jeff.
"We have to go home, and quick." Michael said.
"Why?"
"Don't ask questions," Michael said. "We have to go. NOW."
When they got to the house, everything was quiet. Whyan stepped in the room with Prince and Paris. They looked at Michael as if he was from another planet. Whyan shook his head.
"What? What is it?" Michael asked. He began to forget all about the killer who was going to walk through the door at any minute.
"You tried to save us, didn't you?" Whyan asked.
Michael fell silent. He was beginning to get confused.
"You must forget about us."
"Forget???"
Prince nodded. "We never existed. And you never cared for us. We don't mean anything to you." Prince's voice began to blend into a voice similar to Sharon's. "Just forget, Michael. Just forget it all....."
Sharon came back to reality. She gazed at Michael, who didn't look as if he was having a peaceful rest anymore. She smiled to herself, knowing she erased all feelings Michael's ever had for his kids and Whyan.
