Chapter 3

Sharon stepped back into her living room to find Michael and his children sitting on the couch like one big happy family.

"Any room for me?" Sharon asked, sounding depressed. She simply hated the fact that Michael had kids. No, they weren't kids. They were little brats. Things. The more she looked at them, the more she hated them.

"Of course there's room." Michael smiled and moved over so that Sharon can have a place to sit. Sharon sat down, right next to Paris. Paris crawled on Sharon's lap, snuggled up to her, and closed her eyes.

"Aww...Janet must've worn them out," Michael said, gazing at Paris. Sharon cringed. She wanted to throw that thingof off her lap on to the floor. Michael cautiously took Paris and put her in his lap. He obviously saw how uncomfortable Sharon was. Prince began tugging on Michael's shirt. "Daddy! Daddy! Movie! The movie!"

"Movie?" Sharon asked.

"Oh yeah," Michael laughed. "I brought 'Snow White' with me." He showed Sharon the videotape.

"That's great," Sharon said taking the tape. "Let me put it in." Sharon got up and put the tape in the VCR.

"Sharon," Michael said softly.

"Yes?" Sharon asked, sitting back down next to Michael.

"Tell me about yourself. It's like you have something to hide." ,p> Sharon rested her head on Michael's shoulder. Michael put on arm around her as the movie began to start. Prince jumped off the couch and sat on the floor.

"Where should I start?" Sharon asked.

"Hmmm...how about your past."

"Michael, you don't want to know about my past." Sharon answered quickly. She began to relax in Michael's embrace. She hoped that Michael would never let go of her.

"Your history was pretty rough, huh?" Michael replied, speaking just above a whisper.

Sharon didn't respond.

"Tell me about it. I'll understand. Believe me, I know a thing or two about this." Michael insisted.

Sharon sighed. "I had no one, Michael. No father and no mother. No brothers and sisters. No one to be there for me when I was little. I lived with my aunt...and she hated me...she beat me a lot..."

There was a silence.

"What happened--"

"Don't ask me what happened to my parents." Sharon said, cutting Michael off. "All you need to know is that..." She paused. "...They got what they deserved. And because they got what they deserved, they're friends came after me. The caught me and kidnapped me."

"You mean, one of them was involved in some sort of gang?"

"Yes. They took me and locked me up. But I escaped though..." Sharon stopped herself. She looked up at Michael."All I wanted in life was to be loved."

Michael made eye contact with Sharon. "I love you though."

Sharon nodded. "I know. Believe me, I know."

Sharon wanted to take this chance. She moved closer to Michael in order to kiss him, but then Prince said.

"Daddy, I'm hungry."

Sharon's anger reached its peak. But instead of loosing control of herself, she smiled. Turning towards Michael she said, "Don't worry. I got something for him in the kitchen."

The spell was made to look like candy. It was the perfect spell to separate Michael from his kids. Sharon put the candy in a sandwich bag and handed it to Prince.

"Wow! Candy!" Prince cried, looking into the bag.

"Yeah yeah. But Prince, you got to promise me you'll share it with your sister."

Prince nodded.

"And whatever you do, DON'T give ANY to your father. You got that?"

Prince nodded, and happily began stuffing the candy in his mouth....
