Danny Keough was standing at Lisa’s door. He smiled.
“Hey lisa…I just thought I’d drop by.”
Lisa took a deep breath and looked down at the floor. “This is not a good time.”
Danny snickered. “Oh it’s a perfect time. Don’t you love me?”
Lisa looked up. Danny was gone. Lisa, becoming confused and frightened, step outside. It was as if Danny had just disappeared.
“Danny!” she called out. Was she seeing things?
“Danny? Danny who?” Someone behind her said. Lisa whirled around.
“Nick?”
“I don’t like you talking about Danny. It’s just us now. Lisa and Nicholas Cage.”
Lisa blinked. She wanted to run. What she was seeing couldn’t be real. She nervously laughed. “What? You’re gonna turn into Michael now? I’m not afraid of you, who ever you are. You’re just my imagination.”
All Nicholas did was smile.
A few seconds of silence went by.
“Okay, this is really funny.” Lisa said. “Whoever is doing this, this is really funny!” she shouted.
“Funny? Whats the joke? I wanna hear the joke. I wanna laugh too.”
Lisa gasped and stared at Nick. He was smiling, and his eyes looked of shyness and childishness. His voice had turned into Michael’s. It was like Michael was inside Nick’s body.
“It is you…” Lisa whispered, tears coming to her eyes.
“Let’s have fun, Lisa.” Nick said, in Michael’s soft cheerful voice. “Just you and me.”
Lisa, eyes wide, slowly stepped towards Nick. Reaching for his hand, she whispered, “Are you for real? Is this really you Michael?”
She tried to hold his hand, but there was no hand to hold. She realized she was alone in the room, once again.
Prince and Paris grabbed each other’s hand. Paris was terrified, but Prince could only smile.
“Paris, you know what this means don’t you?”
“We’re alone, at night, in the dark, in a 3000 acre place which we could get lost in…”
“No!” Prince laughed and let go of her hand. “It’s gonna happen!”
Paris shook her head. “Prince, the power went out. Don’t get your hopes up.”
Prince ignored her. “We have to go back,” he grabbed her hand and attempted to run. “Lets go!”
“NO.” Paris said, not moving. “We need to get out of here! I’m tired of this ghost stuff. Sooner or later it’s going to get us in trouble!”
Prince rolled his eyes. “Fine. You can go back home. I’ll stay here.”
“That’s not gonna happen.”
“It is. Go on. Go home to Janet, little sister.” Prince said. He walked off.
Paris stood there, mouth ajar in disbelief. “He just did not go there.” She said to herself. She headed towards the gate, rolling her eyes.
“What do we do now then?” Evan asked Tommy.
“I don’t know!” he shouted. “What do you suggest? After all these years, YOU are the one who brought him back so, Evan, WHAT do we do now?”
Evan pressed his lips together. “I guess we need to get the power working again…and if not get some candles lit or something. We don’t want to be wandering around in the dark.”
After Tommy and Evan found flashlights, they tried to find their way to the basement.
“Why are you so sure about this? Could it be that the power just went out?” Evan asked going down the stairs.
Tommy smacked his lips.
When they got in the basement, they couldn’t help but be distracted. There were boxes of stuff: photo albums, old records, old clothes, and other things. Tommy took out one of the old outfits in a box. He snickered. It was a pair of old brown bellbottoms.
“Look at this Evan.”
Evan gazed at the pants and smiled.
“No wander those were kept down here”
Evan looked inside another dusty box. He found framed pictures of Lisa Marie, letters, and birthday presents that were probably sent by Lisa Marie.
“Wow….Tommy, come look.”
Tommy came over and looked over his shoulder.
“Man…” He took out one of the letters and read it. “Dear Michael, I wanted to know how you’ve been doing. How is to tour coming along? I hope you aren’t wearing yourself out. I just wanted to say I miss seeing you and that I love you with all my heart. Hugs and kisses, Lisa. P.S- No, I love YOU more.”
Evan and Tommy burst into laughter.
“Hugs and kisses, Michael-boo!” Evan imitated Lisa blowing a kiss.
“Who would have thought she’d loathe Michael so much later on. Hm.” Tommy said.
“Yeah looks like Michael felt how much she hated him. He put all of her stuff in a box and locked it in the basement.” Evan said.
“Surprised he didn’t burn them.” Tommy said.
“I have a feeling he didn’t want to do that.” Evan said , now trying to find the powerbox.
Tommy went through some of the other stuff in the box, and then closed it. When he did, he saw, in red letters written on top of the box, a chilling message reading “GET OUT. GET OUT NOW.”
Tommy swallowed hard. “Ummm Evan, you better come over here and see this.”
Evan did.
“Geez…” Evan said. He put his flashlight directly on it. “It’s made of blood…this is written in blood….”
