Johanna

(known to close friends as Joey)

Johanna lives in Lafayette, Indiana with her husband of 6 years, Max, who works for Thermolator, Inc. She was a dental assistant, but they recently made the decision for her to stay home full time for a few years with her two children, baby Erin, and Max Jr., who is 3. Joey and Max are planning on home schooling. It was an easy decision for them to make, because they think that although it may be a little tough financially for awhile, the rewards will certainly be worth it.

Johanna met the other girls on a literature discussion community on the internet. The group has been communicating regularly for 6 years-discussing various books they have read. This year they decided to meet and take a small vacation together in Longville, MN. They had read that Longville was the smallest town in Minnesota to have a public library, and had heard of Longville's turtle races on National Public Radio last year.
