Raised on a farm in Iowa with five older brothers, Doreen left home when she was 17. She lived in New York City for 5 years while she tried to break into show business. She auditioned for and got into the Sam Harris Dance Troupe, which was a big break for her, and she as learned many different styles of dance while working with them. In the past few years, she has waited on tables, done some part time modeling, taken a few acting classes, and worked as a bartender.
Currently, she has been chosen as assistant to the choreographer for the Off Broadway Show, "It's a Small World," directed by Stevie Callas, and performed by the Timpani Company Players.
Doreen met the other girls on a literature discussion community on the internet. The group has been communicating regularly for 6 years-discussing various books they have read. This year they decided to meet and take a small vacation together in Longville, MN. They had read that Longville was the smallest town in Minnesota to have a public library, and had heard of Longville's turtle races on National Public Radio last year.
