Consuela

Consuela was born into a large Catholic family of Spanish and French ancestry. She went to Parochial school, and studied classical dance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Ballet.

Head of her own dance company, "La Danzas de Espaņa." Consuela has performed throughout Southern Europe. She is no longer touring, but has concentrated her efforts into teaching a younger generation the history of the dance.

Consuela's teaching consistently is dynamic and varied. Because her professional experience includes both ballet and Spanish dance, her teaching style is witty, spirited, and expressive. She is on the teaching staff of the University of Colorado.

She is divorced, with one child, a boy, Jaime who is studying flamenco also.

Consuela met the other girls on a literature discussion community on the internet. The group has been communicating regularly for 6 years-discussing various books they have read. This year they decided to meet and take a small vacation together in Longville, MN. They had read that Longville was the smallest town in Minnesota to have a public library, and had heard of Longville's turtle races on National Public Radio last year.
