The Technology Driven

How University use of Computers affects schools

teacher resources Nothing exemplifies the notion of too much too soon as well as the restricted use of technology in our schools.

Realistically, our universities are to be the mentors and guidance for our elementary and secondary education system. It has been the job of the university to educate our teachers on how to teach.

It seems that would be a reasonable request, right? Yet many universities are not implementing technology into their teaching methods. So where does the responsibility fall now?

It is falling to the principles and teachers who are there to teach the kids.

In addition to  all the other constraints on teachers' time some teachers are asked to teach other teacher how to use technologies and software.

This is due to the fact that universities are not training the teachers in the efficient use of computers and technology skills.

For this reason teachers are rarely well-prepared for teaching technology to the students. So the accountability of the universities must come into question.
