League Headquarters: Montreal,Quebec LA Wins Cup Written By:Andrea Gordon The Los Angeles Kings have won the First Ever IWHL Cup. The Atlanta Thrashers put up a good fight but in the end were no match for the fighting power of the Kings. The Kings tore up the playoffs and had a great regular season aswell. The IWHL Would like to congratulate the Kings and Especially Goaltender Miika Kiprusoff for Winning the Conn Smythe Trophy as the MVP of the playoffs. Award Ballots will be released Monday. Voting is Mandatory and will be considered a GM check at the same time IWHL will take a one week break in which all gm's are being given their final chance to send in their contract offers for their 3 UFA's and 3 RFA's. For those that have sent them in already and have no receive an answer you will in the upcoming days. Free Agency will Open Sunday September 24th between 11pm-and midnight EST. Please not there will be NO activity Friday night or Saturday night as it is a Jewish Holiday and me, the commish is a jew damnit! |
